Not F**king Sorry: RAWD REVIEWS

WRITTEN BY KEZIAH

My name is Keziah, welcome to RAWD Reviews! I am writing this review because I love write, see theatre and share my creativity.

On the 22nd of March I went to the unity theatre to see Not F**king Sorry, starring Ousni Hassan (DJ) Stephanie Newman, Emma Selwyn, and Adam Smith.

The stage setup was different from what I have normally seen, it had red sparkly curtains at the back of the stage, and the most unique thing about the stage was a whiteboard with each cast's picture and a spinning wheel used to decide who gets to live.

Not F**kin Sorry has a very important message all about how people with disabilities can have sex and do anything other people can do! Throughout the show they show us their unapologetic selves, and show us how people prejudge them.

One thing I loved about the show was the uniqueness of It as you were given a token and had to vote for someone at the end. Each cast member did a great job and you could tell that the message was important to them!

The costumes were used to make them look like clowns as the message they were trying to get across was that they are not your circus dog! Throughout the show there was dancing, funny jokes, and important messages, one big one being that there isn't much care for disabled people, as many of them died during covid.

One thing that I liked was when they told us their fantasies about sex as most people would assume they don't know anything about sex, which has happened to me so many times. People always assume things about disabilities even though everyone is different.

I think one improvement could be the pacing as I found it went too fast and I struggled to keep up, but I did laugh and enjoy the show, the show was thrilling and exciting.

I would give the show a five out of five!!

CREATIVE CORNER:

This is a place for Keziah to share any of her creative ideas that are inspired by the show!

There needs to be more opportunities for Disabled actors, people don't always cast people with disabilities, and sometimes when they make a show about Disabled people they hire non disabled people, for example the good doctor and the new live action Snow white.

It is important people stop judging people with disabilities as we are just like anyone else.

People with disabilities suffer daily with bullying, people making decisions for them, judging them, people being overprotective of them, and currently the fear of losing pip, one of the main sources of income.

It's important people stop judging and help each other instead, everyone is facing battles, so instead of judging one another let's help each other, support each other, and fight against discrimination.

One way to do this is protest which RAWD is portraying in their next show, so to support disabled actors please come and see this show. Tickets will be available soon!
